Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Website Structure Visualizer tool?

The Website Structure Visualizer is a powerful 3D tool that crawls and maps your website's internal linking structure. It helps you understand how pages are connected, identify important navigation paths and analyze your site's architecture from an SEO perspective. The interactive 3D visualization makes it easy to see relationships between pages that might be difficult to identify otherwise.

How many pages can the tool crawl?

We have set 50 valid internal pages per session. This limit helps ensure optimal performance and visualization quality. When the limit is reached, you'll see a notification indicating that some links may not be included in the graph. For larger websites, we recommend focusing on specific sections or directories at a time for the most detailed analysis.

What information can I see about each page?

When you click on a node (page) in the visualization, the sidebar displays detailed information including:

  • Full URL
  • Page title
  • H1 and H2 headings
  • Meta description
  • HTTP status code & Content type
  • HTML Size, Word Count, Image Count
  • JS & CSS file counts (linked)
  • Canonical URL & Robots Meta
  • Number of inbound and outbound links
  • Depth level from the root page
  • Page type (root, redirect, PDF, error, etc.)

You can also see lists of all inbound and outbound links for the selected page.

Why should I analyze my website structure?

Analyzing your website structure provides several SEO and user experience benefits:

  • Improved Crawlability: Ensure search engines can efficiently discover and index all your important pages
  • Better Internal Link Distribution: Identify pages with too few links or pages receiving too much link equity
  • Link Gap Analysis: Discover poorly connected pages that need more internal linking
  • Information Architecture Review: Evaluate the logical organization of your page
  • Redirect Chain Identification: Discover and fix redirect chains that slow down your site

Can I visualize external links too?

The current version of the tool focuses on mapping internal links only (links within the same domain). This provides a clearer visualization of your website's structure without the complexity of external connections. The tool identifies and follows links that share the same root domain as your starting URL. External links are detected but not crawled or included in the visualization graph.

Do I need to install anything to use this tool?

No, the Website Structure Visualizer is a web-based tool that runs entirely in your browser. There is no need to install any software or browser extensions.
